How do we become accredited?

Who assesses us?
BFHI accredited assessors with come out to your facility. There is a minimum of two assessors , more may be required dependant on the size of the facility being accredited.

 

How long does it take?
From time of assessment to certificate issue is about four months.
How much does it cost?
Financial agreements are based on the number of births each year. A current table of cost is available by emailing bfhi@midwives.org.au
What’s involved in reaccreditation and how much does it cost?

Reaccreditation is the same procees as accreditation and the cost are based on the same calculations as initial accreditation
